Description

Country of origin: European Union (Germany)

The Robuso floor layer's and pattern-board shears 1073/D 7.75" (20 cm) are forged C60 shears with long handles, short strong blades, internal spring and one micro-serrated edge – for notching corners, edges and borders in carpet, for pattern board and short cuts in strong material.

For powerful cuts in leather, cardboard, carpet, felt and rubber, ROBUSO builds scissors with long handles and short, strong blades: the favourable leverage brings a lot of cutting force to the tip. All models are forged from C60 carbon steel; depending on the model the blades are blue-glazed or nickel-plated outside and hollow-ground, the handles brilliant-red powder-coated. Micro-serrated edges stop smooth materials slipping.

Frequently asked questions

Which scissors for carpet?
For notching corners, edges and borders in carpet the floor layer's shears 1073/D are ideal; for longer cuts in thicker materials the leather and carpet shears 1080/D, and for flush trimming of borders the edge shears 1080/3/D with bent handles.

What is the blunt tip of the upholstery scissors for?
With the broad, blunt tip the upholsterer pushes excess material into the seam without damaging the fabric.
