The OLFA A-5 is an evolved Auto-Lock model with a patented one-way locking system: the blade stays firmly locked while cutting and retracts safely if external force hits the tip. The rounded, ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue; it comes preloaded with an ultra-sharp Excel Black blade that can be reversed for left-handed use.
The 9 mm Auto-Lock utility knives from the Japanese manufacturer OLFA are handy snap-off blade cutters for precise cuts and everyday all-round work. The automatic blade lock holds the blade securely in position as soon as you release the slider – for clean, controlled cuts in paper, film, cardboard, wallpaper and pattern paper.
Depending on the model, the range offers a stainless steel handle, an X-Design rubber grip, a blade magazine, recycled plastic or a built-in blade disposal case. All knives take OLFA AB, ABB (Excel Black) and AB-S replacement blades. Ideal for tailoring workshops, sewing studios, graphics, trades and warehouses.
