The OLFA MC-45 cuts mat windows at a 45° bevel, and the V-shaped MCB-1 blade ensures neat corners. MCB-1 blades and a non-slip rubber sheet for the guide ruler are included.
The OLFA MC-45 mat cutter makes cutting rectangular windows in mat board simple: the blade cuts at an angle of approximately 45°, creating the classic bevelled edge for picture and photo frames. The V-shaped blade also ensures neat corners.
Framing shops, photographers, graphic designers and artists guide the tool along a ruler or wooden straightedge. As an underlay, the manufacturer recommends cardboard or foam board rather than a cutting mat. The matching MCB-1 replacement blades have two cutting edges and can be used from both ends.
