The OLFA TS-1 cuts only the top layer and leaves the material underneath intact – ideal for newspaper and magazine clippings, coupons, thin films and tape. A spring keeps the cutting pressure constant, and the adjuster sets it from MIN (newsprint) to MAX (magazine covers). Supplied with 3 TSB-1 blades, 2 of them in the spare-blade compartment.
For special cutting tasks, the Japanese manufacturer OLFA offers dedicated hand tools: the CL carton cutter with 90-degree cutting base and staple remover, the 45-C carpet and lino cutter with a 45 mm rotary blade, the CS-5 combination of keyhole saw and 12.5 mm utility knife, the stainless steel CK-2 craft knife, the TS-1 top sheet cutter and the UTC-1 utility knife with auto-lock.
Each tool is designed precisely for its job and can be refitted with matching OLFA replacement blades. They suit warehouses and shipping, floor layers, electricians and drywall installers, workshops, upholstery and leatherwork, graphics, offices and hobbies.
