Prym darning needles are designed for both fine and coarse darning with yarns, wool or cotton threads and can also be used for basting. Short darning needles are used for mending woollen garments and socks, long ones for finer darning work. They are suitable for repairing and reinforcing textiles – for example holes in knitwear, jumpers or heavier fabrics such as workwear.
Made of hardened steel, the needles have the tapering shape of a sewing needle but are larger, with a correspondingly larger eye that also takes sturdy yarns and wool. The burr-free surface with its rust-resistant coating lets the needle glide easily through the material. Available as assorted sets and in an envelope.
