Prym latch hooks are special tools for making Smyrna rugs – a knotting technique that goes back to a very old Greek tradition and is still popular today. They are suitable for rugs and other knotted work on rug canvas and are aimed at needleworkers and studios alike.
The hook has a closing latch: when the tip is pushed through the canvas, the latch opens automatically so the yarn can be caught and pulled through. The latch then closes by itself, preventing the yarn from slipping off. The wooden handle sits comfortably in the hand for relaxed working. Available for Smyrna and fine Smyrna.
