Leather needles, also known as glovers’ needles, are sturdy hand sewing needles with a triangular, cutting point. They make it easy to pierce leather and various types of imitation leather and prevent the material from tearing. Prym leather needles are suitable for repairs and sewing work on clothing such as trousers and jackets, on bags, rucksacks and shoes, and for making leather accessories.
The needles are made of hardened, rust-free steel and come in sizes no. 3 to 7 – as an assortment of 6 in a resealable pack or, for professional furriers, in single sizes of 25 each. The higher the number, the finer and shorter the needle.
