The Prym quilter's quarter is a handy aid for quilters and patchworkers: this rectangular bar made of transparent plastic lets you mark or check the ¼-inch seam allowance quickly and accurately. Even seam allowances are the basis for precisely matching patchwork blocks.
To mark, simply place the seam gauge against the template and draw the seam allowance along its edge; as the material is transparent, the fabric underneath remains visible.
