Prym shirring elastic is a woven elastic tape for shirred waistbands on fine, lightweight fabrics. Threaded into the casing of trousers, skirts or tunics, it gathers the fabric and creates a fine shirred effect at the waistband or waist that adds a stylish touch.
The supple tape, made of polyamide, polyester and elastane, keeps its shape when stretched and does not constrict. It is washable at up to 60 °C and suitable for tumble drying, so it also suits garments that are washed frequently.
