Prym tubular elastic is a braided elastic tape that is hollow inside. A cord can easily be threaded through the tube, so the elastic and a drawstring can be combined in one casing – for example in children's trousers and other children's clothing.
The tape is supple yet strong and shows the zig-zag pattern typical of Prym braided elastics. It is made of 68 % polyester and 32 % elastodiene, measures 7.5 mm in width and, according to the manufacturer, is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Tip: pull the elastic into the casing with a safety pin, then thread the cord through the tube.
