TEXTILIA burling irons are special tweezers for burling, i.e. inspecting and finishing grey fabric in weaving mills and textile finishing. They are used to remove burls, knots, thread ends and woven-in foreign fibres from the cloth. All models are made of stainless steel.
The burling irons are available in lengths from 90 to 145 mm, with either a sharp or a rounded edge depending on the fabric and working method. They are made in Solingen, Germany, by TEXTILIA, a family company whose roots go back to 1854 and which has focused on tools for the textile industry since 1950.
