The WASA Silk Scissors 11" is large silk scissors with rounded blades for fine, delicate fabrics. Version: gold-plated. A historically faithful reproduction: the specially hardened black screws of the original are replaced today by blued screws, whose colour can range from bluish silver through steel grey to black.
WASA paper and silk scissors have long, slender blades for long, steady cuts. The paper scissors cut paper, wallpaper and thin card straight and cleanly; the large silk scissors with rounded blades glide through fine, delicate fabrics such as silk without damaging them.
WASA stands for Waldmin & Saam: the scissor manufacturer was founded in Solingen in 1907 by August Waldmin and Friedrich Saam and is still known today for forged quality scissors – above all embroidery and needlework scissors.

Frequently asked questions
Can I also cut fabric with the paper scissors?
Yes. However, if you want to keep fabric scissors particularly sharp, use separate scissors for paper and fabric, as paper dulls edges faster.
