Description

Country of origin: European Union (Germany)

The Robuso mould-making scissors 405/2/B-CR 6" are forged, fully chrome-plated C60 scissors, 16 cm long – fine, pointed bent blades, large eyes, hardened screw – light scissors for light glass and carbon fibre and wet laminates.

ROBUSO laminating and mould-making scissors are built for working with wet glass and carbon fibre laminates. In the B-CR version the entire pair including the handles is ground and steel chrome-plated, making it 100 % solvent-resistant; the smooth surface makes resin and adhesive residues easy to remove. The scissors are forged from C60 carbon steel, the blades blue-glazed, one edge micro-serrated.

With straight blades they are used for cutting during laminating, with bent blades for working surfaces, and with bent blades and cranked handles for trimming edges and rims: fingers stay off the wet laminate, and protruding fibres can be reached even in awkward places without stabbing into the fabric.

Frequently asked questions

How do I clean the scissors after laminating?
Remove all resin and adhesive residues immediately after use – ideally with solvent before they cure. The steel chrome-plated, smooth surface is 100 % solvent-resistant.

What are bent blades and cranked handles for?
Bent blades reach protruding fibres even in awkward places without stabbing into the fabric. Cranked handles keep the hand away from the material – fingers do not touch the wet laminate and the scissors are easier to guide.
