Frequently asked questions
Fibreglass or steel tape?
Fibreglass tape is more flexible, rust-proof and non-conductive, but less wear-resistant. For the heaviest use choose the ISOLAN steel tape; in wet conditions or where a non-conductive tape is needed, choose fibreglass.
What is the hook ring for?
The hook ring lets you hook or fix the tape start so you can measure long distances on your own. Measurement starts at the front edge of the fitting (zero point B).
How accurate is the tape?
With one-sided graduation the tape meets EC class II: ± 6.3 mm at 30 m and ± 10.3 mm at 50 m (at 20 °C and 20 N tension).
