The HSGM melting tip type HG is an original interchangeable tool for HSGM hot knives for smoothing and deburring, compatible with HSG-0, HSG-1-VW, HSG-03-VW, HSG-3-VW.
HSGM melting tips and heating forks do not cut – they melt and weld: they smooth and deburr plastic edges and weld rope and hawser ends or the edges of woven felts and heavy fabrics. They are fitted to the hot knife like cutting blades and heated directly.

Note: The diameters and widths stated describe what the blade can cut – whether your unit has enough power for it is a separate question. The small HSG-0 hand unit (60 W), for example, has considerably less power than the continuous-duty units and may not manage thick ropes or wide webbing, even if the blade is designed for them. If in doubt, send us a short e-mail stating your unit and material; if necessary, send us a sample and we will test it beforehand.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a cutting blade and a melting tip?
A cutting blade separates the material and seals the edge. A melting tip does not cut – it smooths, deburrs or welds edges and ends that are already cut.
