The OLFA DC-4 is a pocket-size blade disposal case: the snapping slot opens only while you press the lid, so it cannot open by accident. For snap-off and safety blades; it can be hung up by its mounting hole, and the case is unscrewed for emptying.
Dull blade segments should never go loose into the waste bin. OLFA blade disposal cases safely hold snapped-off segments and used blades: you snap the dull segment through a slot straight into the case, so no pieces fly off or lie around.
