The OLFA NH-1 is an extra heavy-duty utility knife for 25 mm snap-off blades with an anti-slip elastomer grip that OLFA describes as acid- and acetone-resistant. The ratchet-wheel lock holds the 0.7 mm thick blade in any position; the 178.5 mm handle is designed for larger hands.
OLFA's extra heavy-duty utility knives use 25 mm wide, 0.7 mm thick snap-off blades. They handle thicker and tougher materials where an 18 mm blade reaches its limits and, according to OLFA, are designed for professional workplaces in trades, industry, warehouses and upholstery.
The large handles with anti-slip rubber or elastomer surfaces sit securely even in big hands. Depending on the model, the blade is held by a ratchet-wheel lock with continuous positioning or by Auto-Lock. Replacement blades are the HB (silver) and HBB (Excel Black) snap-off blades; with the separately available HSWB-1 saw blade, the knife can also be used as a saw.
