These Prym wool and tapestry (Smyrna) needles with blunt points are made for finishing knitted and crocheted work as well as for Smyrna and wool embroidery. They are thicker and blunter than sewing needles and have a large eye, so even thick yarn can be threaded and worked easily.
The needles are made of steel and have a gold eye. The pack contains sizes No. 1, 3 and 5. Typical uses: weaving in starting and ending threads, joining knitted and crocheted pieces, picking up dropped stitches and mending knitwear such as holes in socks. The blunt point pushes the fibres aside instead of splitting them.
