Straight reed hooks, also known as drawing-in hooks, are used to draw the warp threads through the reed and the heddles. The flat, straight shank of stainless steel is passed through the reed dent or the heddle eye, the thread is caught by the hook and pulled back through.
TEXTILIA reed hooks have a wooden handle and are available in material dimensions from 2.0 x 0.7 mm to 3.0 x 0.7 mm and in lengths from 120 to 300 mm; further lengths on request. They are made by TEXTILIA Stahlwaren-Manufaktur in Solingen, Germany, which has specialised in tools for the textile industry since 1950.
