The WASA Stork Scissors 6.5" is the classic stork embroidery scissors: the blades form the stork’s beak and cut finely and cleanly. Version: gold-plated. A historically faithful reproduction: the specially hardened black screws of the original are replaced today by blued screws, whose colour can range from bluish silver through steel grey to black.
WASA ornamental scissors are classic embroidery and needlework scissors with a long tradition. The handles are richly decorated – with scrolls, figures such as the stork or rooster, or classic patterns – and, depending on the model, nickel-plated, gold-plated or black.
The blades taper finely and cut threads, yarns and fine fabrics cleanly right to the tip. Many models are hand-forged and made as historically faithful reproductions.
WASA stands for Waldmin & Saam: the scissor manufacturer was founded in Solingen in 1907 by August Waldmin and Friedrich Saam and is still known today for forged quality scissors – above all embroidery and needlework scissors.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the screw look dark?
The historically reproduced models use a blued screw whose colour can range from bluish silver to black. This is intentional and not a defect.
