The Alpen 1312 sewing scissors are left-handed tailoring and textile scissors. The blades are arranged as a mirror image of a right-handed pair, so the cutting line stays visible for left-handed users and the blades are pressed together rather than apart while cutting. The scissors are made of nickel-plated carbon steel with hardened blades and suit fabrics, linings and cutting work.
Alpen (Fratelli Gianola) has been manufacturing in Premana, Lombardy, since 1964 – a town with a centuries-old scissor-making tradition. Made in Italy, with final finishing by hand. The scissors can be resharpened; SCHLEMMING offers a scissor sharpening service.
