The collar block is a handmade pressing block of solid steamed natural beech (approx. L 50 x H 24 x W 6.5 cm) that gives collars and lapels firm support while shaping.
Pressing blocks give edges, corners and collars a hard counter-surface on which seam allowances can be pressed cleanly flat. These solid shaped blocks are handmade from renewable, regionally sourced timber and complement tailor's hams wherever precise edges are needed.
