Beginner utility knife with a plastic-covered four-segment snap-off blade that exposes only a little of the edge. It comes with the white, egg-shaped blade snapper, which also serves as a stand and disposal case. Replacement blades: ESKB-1.
The OLFA ESK-1 is an entry-level snap-off blade knife and makes an ideal first utility knife. The blade is covered with plastic so that only a small part of the edge is exposed. This reduces the risk of injury when cutting and when changing the blade. The rounded, lightweight handle is easy to hold, even for small children's hands.
Blade segments are snapped off with the supplied egg-shaped blade snapper, which doubles as a stand. Reversing the blade makes the cutter suitable for right- and left-handed users. Originally introduced as a cutter for kids, the ESK-1 is a learning and safety knife for all ages – in schools, classes, sewing courses or the craft corner.
