Prym weaving and packing needles are two long, sturdy special needles for coarsely woven materials such as jute, wool and coarse linen. The weaving needle is used for weaving, mending holes in shirts or trousers, weaving in loose threads and repairing home textiles; the packing needle for heavy-duty sewing of sacks, mats and densely woven fabrics.
The hardened steel needles (Ø 2.35 mm x 15 cm) have a cleanly finished surface and a large, burr-free eye for thick yarns. The polished, rounded tip of the weaving needle protects the material, while the flattened, curved spear point of the packing needle pierces thick, hard and taut fabrics with force.
